Lynne Schinella
embracing our differences
Lynne Schinella is an expert in understanding and handling our differences.
She was born to an Aussie father and an Indian mother who grew up in an orphanage in the Himalayas, and was originally refused entry into Australia under the White Australia policy. Lynne grew up amongst an influx of Mediterranean Europeans but soon married an American who had a Zuni Indian mother and an Italian POW father.
She has never been a stranger to diversity and discovered its great power early on in life.
Ten years in the travel industry saw Lynne working with a range of cultures and religions rich in eclectic experience.
She studied how the Tahitians, French and Chinese have carved out an existence together when she lived in Tahiti for three years.
In 1989 she founded Schinella Incentives, an organisation which developed programmes to help improve team’s performance. Over the next ten years she saw that the most successful teams were the most diverse, able to acknowledge their differences and build on their strengths.
So when Lynne established Ripe Learning in 2001, it was natural her workshops and keynotes had a strong message of understanding and celebrating our differences, whether personality, gender, culture or generation.
Delivered with Lynne’s greatest strength; her relaxed informal style and ability to engage, her keynotes and workshop presentations will show you how to respect and connect with those not like yourself, for a happier, less stressful and more productive life.
I’m Always Right: Just Ask Me!
It is a fundamental human trait to think our way is the right way – because it’s our way! The truth is the way we think and act can create great tension and lack of productivity in the workplace with colleagues or clients who are not like us.
In a frank discussion that brings much clarity, Lynne identifies 4 different types of human behaviour and shows how each of us have our natural preferences in how we behave, both good and not so good.
Your participants will learn what their own preferences are, and how to modify your own behaviour to work more effectively with others to get more of what you want.
Lynne makes it ok to be yourself. As long as we recognise the differences in others, and respect that variety we can live happier, more productive lives.
From TuckShop Mother to Sex Goddess
As women we are often required to be many things: corporate decision maker, entertainer, mediator, tuck shop mother or sex goddess, all in one day.
In a fast paced world many of us struggle with the roles required of us but in fact, if we embrace the many facets of our personality we can live rich and diverse lives.
Lynne used to work a guilt ridden 24/7 and lost her marriage, her business and her health. She’ll show you how to avoid all three and bring out the best in yourself to survive and thrive in the garden of life.

“Your presentation was a great success, the feedback was overwhelmingly positive and the delegates really appreciated your high energy approach”
Sally Bary, Forum Meeting Planners, New Zealand
"Fantastic. Enjoyed every minute and learned heaps thanks to great presentation. For a "mango" person, didn't get bored once!"
Melissa Elmslie, Qantas
My sincere thanks for putting on such a dynamic and informative session. As you may have noticed, I am very passionate about becoming a better presenter and have been to various sessions to that end. Yours has to rank up there in the top 1 or 2, for content, delivery and participant involvement. Your ability to both explain and personally demonstrate each topic was outstanding. To "Walk the Talk" is a most desirable talent and you have it.
Scot Harris, Toyota
“You've given me tools that I can utilise not only in negotiations, but in all areas of my life by increasing confidence and giving me an understanding of different personality types. I came home and told everyone I was a banana! Thank you again. You were great!”
Kristie Sellar, Avillion Hotel
